i'm sitting here in tears as today i've had to make the decision to rehome my georgeous wee boy bailey
My eldest just had him out for a walk and as they came back in the house he tried to attack my other cat jess. (i've had the cats before we got bailey)
he's 2 types of terrier crossed (jack russell and patterdale) and altho he's been fine for the past 18 months, he's never really "liked" the cats and they've just basically ignored him.
As they came in the front door today jess walked past them to go out and bailey just flipped, if he hadn't have been on his lead i probably would be minus one cat. I have never seen him behave like this he was really aggressive. He's currently hiding in his bed right now as he knows something is up. I've spoken to my daughters to try and come up with a solution but everytime we hash it over it all comes back to the same one, we just don't trust him anymore when it comes to the cats. I also worry now that when we take him on his walks, is he going to be like that with young kids?
My daughters are devastated as am i, we love the wee begger to bits but i have to take everything into consideration and it just seems like too much of a risk to keep him here with the cats, i don't have anyone i can have him stay with so i am trying desperatly to find somewhere that will rehome him, all the local shelters are full.
This has to be one of the most difficult decisions i've ever had to make
