Hello, and welcome to Knit Kingdom! As we're a pretty new forum, we don't have all that many rules to demand of people. Unfortunately, we do reserve the right to add rules as it becomes necessary. In short, however, if you don't act like a fool, you should be fine.

Behaviour
- Treat others as you would like to be treated. That is, don't be a jerk. If you wouldn't want someone saying it to you or to your mum, don't say it to them. Don't be rude, don't be nasty, don't cause drama. This isn't a high school, don't act like it is.
- Knit Kingdom is a place free from discrimination and prejudice. As we grow, we'll find members that have all sorts of differences to them--age, race, religion, country of origin, gender, transgender, sexuality, maybe even more than that! And it's imperative that everyone be treated with respect and dignity, no matter how different they are. If your beliefs include something like "all <thing> are going to <unpleasant fate>" or "all <thing> are confused/misled/fake and must be corrected", you have every right to believe it, but you may not say it publicly--it's disrespectful to those people you're talking about. And if you feel that's showing them preferential treatment, remember that it goes both ways--they can't say "all <thing you are> are bigots/judgemental/hypocritical" either. It's about respecting each other, and sometimes that includes biting your tongue.
- Harassment is strictly not tolerated. Your first time, you'll be told to leave the other person alone, and that includes injecting yourself into any conversations they may be having to try to herd them out of the thread just so they can have some peace from you. Your second time will be met with a ban.
- Conversely, making a harassment complaint against someone and then injecting yourself into any conversations they may be having to herd them out of every thread in order to comply with leaving you alone is a type of harassment. The first time, you'll be told to knock it off. The second time, you get banned.
- Knit Kingdom makes no promises and no guarantees about anything on here. That includes any trades that may be arranged in the trading and selling section. However, if you do scam someone, you can expect to lose your account if it's proved. Proof must be given that a scam has occurred, though, otherwise we'll have people throwing scam accusations around whenever they don't like someone.
- Spam will be deleted and the spammers banned, immediately.
Forum Privileges
- Keep your signature under 300px high. That can be a combination of text or images, but that's your lot. 300px is an internet measurement--what appears "one inch" high on your monitor might appear three inches high on someone else's, but 300px is always 300px.
- Some sections have posting restricted to 'Regular' members. You can reply to threads in 'restricted' places, but not make your own. These sections are Links and Commerce. Those two places are restricted to 'regulars' to avoid people joining the forum just to post links to their own sites and then vanishing again, or to join the forum to put something up for sale without first establishing themselves as a member here. The Commerce section is to help our members, not to turn this place into eBay without the restrictions.
Regular Members
- You must be a regular member in order to:
- Post links off the forum.
- Post items/patterns for sale or trade.
- To become a 'regular' member, you must:
- Have been a member for at least two weeks.
- Made 50 posts.
Once you meet both requirements, you can request being bumped up to 'regular' status. As long as you haven't broken any other rules, you'll be moved up as soon as an admin is online. - You can lose your 'regular' status if you don't post at all for a week or as punishment for breaking rules. To get it back after you've been gone a while, just make at least 10 posts and ask for it back. If it's been taken away as a penalty, you'll be told how to get it back at that time.
